About Me

I'm a girl doing exactly what Mark Twain prescribed. I have thrown off the bowlines of this ship. With the trade winds filling my sails, I am exploring, dreaming and discovering all that God has in store for me. God's breath is the breeze that sustains my momentum. I have left the safe harbor in anticipation of the deepening knowledge and understanding of my God that remain ahead in both the stormy and calm seas.

Currently, I am working for a non-profit, Planet Hope Land and Sea and living off the Chesapeake Bay in Annapolis, Maryland. I am enjoying the seafaring life of a sailing instructor who gets to work with awesome young peoples. While I am here, I am pursuing my 6-pack license so I can be an official captain on sailing vessels worldwide. I am learning about non-profits and businesses. In my spare time you can find me adventuring around, surfing, hiking, road-tripping, climbing trees, cooking, reading, sitting on the docks and snapping photos here and there. Oh ya, and I spend a lot of time with youth. A friend recently described me as 7/8 kid and 1/8 adult. I think I have a free child like spirit and fascination of everything around me. It is great.

I must say the voyage God designs for us is the best route we could ever go. I believe wholeheartedly that God will exceed our wildest dreams. And for those who commit their ways to him and wait on him, God will act. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light and your justice as the noonday. This is why he is at the center of all my initiatives to make this world a better place. Through Jesus, mediocrity fades and abundant life flourishes.
